Job Requirements

  • Four years in a food service role
  • Obtain within 60 days of hire one of the following certifications: Food Protection Manager - ServSafe National Restaurant Association, Certified Food Protection Manager - County Health Department, or Food Safety Manager - National Registry of Food Safety Professionals

Job Qualifications

  • Four years in a food service role
  • Obtain within 60 days of hire one of the following certifications: Food Protection Manager - ServSafe National Restaurant Association, Certified Food Protection Manager - County Health Department, or Food Safety Manager - National Registry of Food Safety Professionals
  • Associate's degree in related field preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Management experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist in steps necessary relative to hiring, evaluating, coaching, promoting and disciplining employees by following established HR policies
  • Direct daily work flow of department to maintain productivity and ensure that time schedules are met
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards according to departmental and regulatory agency requirements
  • Monitor the quality and attractiveness of food served to patients and/or cafeteria and special functions to assure that it meets departmental standards
  • Respond to and resolve customer/patient issues
  • Reconcile money, compute transactions, replenish cash, and bank daily receipts
  • Assist in cafeteria menu and special event planning and execution
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
