Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in food service or healthcare support
- current ServSafe certification
- DSS or CDM certification required for patient service roles
- ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
- comfortable using computers and food management systems
- working knowledge of portion control, safe food handling, sanitation, and regulatory standards including HACCP and hospital guidelines
- ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and follow assignments with limited direction
- demonstrated teamwork skills
- ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift 50 plus pounds
- ability to work in hot or cold environments
- comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and maintaining sanitary work areas

Job Duties
- Drive the creation and execution of innovative, upscale, and culturally diverse menus
- lead and inspire culinary staff including Principal Cooks and Senior Cooks
- oversee scheduling and training of food services team
- manage food preparation to ensure quality and consistency
- control food cost and manage inventory and storage
- maintain compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory standards
- ensure adherence to policies set by the Joint Commission, University of California, and UCLA Medical Center
