Job Requirements

  • Two years experience in a hospital, major food service establishment, catering service or experience in storeroom/purchasing
  • Must have valid driver’s license (Northside Gwinnett Storeroom only)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of common diet modifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cafeteria operations
  • Ability to maintain proper cash handling procedures
  • Ability to supervise and direct food service operations and personnel
  • Working knowledge of personal computer applications including Office and Excel

Job Qualifications

  • Certification by Dietary Manager's Association
  • Previous experience in health care
  • One year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, major food service establishment or catering service
  • Demonstrated knowledge of common diet modifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cafeteria operations
  • Working knowledge of personal computer applications including Office and Excel

Job Duties

  • Supervise and lead department functions including serving and delivering meals
  • Plan menus according to dietary and nutrition standards
  • Oversee food preparation ensuring quality and safety
  • Maintain sanitation standards in all food service areas
  • Keep accurate records related to food service operations
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • Supervise and direct food service personnel
