Job Requirements
- Two years of experience in foodservice or one year of hospital nutrition experience
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian required or to be obtained within 24 months unless otherwise required by state or local health code
- Certification as ServSafe Food Protection Manager and ServSafe Allergen certifications, can be obtained within 60 days of hire or as required by state or local health code
- Ability to perform medium work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly

Job Duties
- Directs storeroom clerk, cooks and other Food and Nutrition Services team members and provides for the operational needs of these positions
- Collaborates in implementing and sustaining infection control practices with clerk/designee to create a safe, sanitary, and orderly storage facility
- Maintains communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding service levels provided by FNS staff and relays this data to management
- Maintains adequate staffing reflecting cost efficiency, assists with recruiting, hiring and managing performance of staff
- Assigns staff and workload respecting changing priorities in daily operations
- Actively collaborates in the process of menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services
- Performs other duties as assigned by leader
