Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food service or healthcare environment preferred
  • Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to wear N95 mask as required
  • Ability to reset priorities during equipment or staffing issues
  • Pass annual competency assessments
  • Understand emergency protocols
  • Flexibility and adaptability in duties
  • Physical ability to perform job functions
  • Commitment to customer service and quality control

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Proven customer service and team building skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Competent with computer systems and software
  • Understanding of unit-specific service requirements

Job Duties

  • Ensure patient selection tickets are processed correctly
  • Monitor food quality and consistency
  • Manage tray service deadlines and task assignments
  • Supervise nutritional supplement and tube feeding delivery
  • Oversee inventory and ordering processes
  • Supervise patient care unit food service and Call Center operations
  • Appraise and train subordinate personnel
  • Maintain records, schedules, and reports
  • Participate in process improvement and sanitation audits
  • Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Audit patient serviceware quality
  • Provide instruction to dietetic students
  • Attend meetings and participate in department committees
  • Implement special projects as assigned
  • Minimize waste of food, equipment, and human resources
