Job Requirements

  • Two years of experience in foodservice or one year of hospital nutrition experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian certification required or to be obtained within 24 months of hire
  • Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager and ServSafe Allergen certifications or to be obtained within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally, up to 20lbs frequently, and up to 10lbs constantly
  • Commitment to humankindness in the workplace

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Duties

  • Directs storeroom clerk, cooks and other Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) team members, and provides for their operational needs
  • Collaborates in implementing and sustaining infection control practices to maintain a safe, sanitary, and orderly storage facility
  • Maintains communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding service levels and relays feedback to management
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels reflecting cost efficiency, assists with recruiting, hiring, and managing staff performance
  • participates actively in menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services
  • Assigns staff and workload based on changing daily priorities
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
