Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in management, food and nutrition, culinary arts or related degree required
  • basic understanding of large volume cooking desired
  • management experience required
  • basic knowledge of nutrition
  • demonstrates good oral and written communication skills
  • basic computer skills with Windows and keyboard knowledge or willingness to learn
  • ServSafe Certification within six months of hire

Job Duties

  • Oversees patient care area of department
  • ensures patient meals are accurately assembled and delivered
  • works with production on monitoring quality of food for patient tray line and short order cooking throughout meal service
  • responsible for ensuring that daily supplies for other departments are assembled and delivered
  • responsible for monitoring and assisting production and cafeteria/special functions in the absence of those supervisors
