Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • food service experience in a health care setting preferred
  • ability to work rotating shifts
  • strong organizational skills
  • effective interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • ability to manage multiple operational areas
  • proficiency with manual and computerized ordering systems
  • knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Supervises employees involved in food preparation and delivery
  • interviews, hires, orients, and trains new employees
  • plans work schedules and assures adequate daily staffing
  • handles time reporting and record keeping
  • evaluates performance and performs disciplinary action when necessary
  • supervises food inventorying, ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution
  • participates in quality control and quality assurance data collection
