Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in a food and beverage environment preferred
  • Must obtain and maintain Serv-Safe certification
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license

  • Digital literacy in computer programs relating to the food and beverage department

Job Duties

  • Provide guest service training and departmental orientation for new team members
  • Work with manager to provide ongoing training for all team members
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of the department as subject to established company policies
  • Review the work activities of subordinate team members to ensure work is performed within standards set by management
  • Assist manager in reviewing activities in reporting areas to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions and guest service quality
  • Coordinate with other food and beverage supervisors and managers on schedules, food ordering, and par levels
  • Delegate duties and responsibilities to food and beverage personnel based on operational needs to ensure adequate coverage
  • Oversee side work responsibilities and opening and closing duties
  • Ensure dining room setup and readiness for service
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for private events
  • Act as a liaison with external agencies or company leadership as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
