Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to three years related experience and/or training
  • one to three years supervisory experience
  • Food Handlers Card
  • TIPS Certification
  • must meet state and federal age requirements for serving alcohol
  • computer literacy including Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of restaurant database software
  • understanding of county regulations
  • ability to implement dining standards
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to do budgetary analysis
  • problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • must have excellent verbal and written communication
  • flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to work under pressure
  • must be customer oriented
  • able to lead and motivate a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • one to three years related experience and/or training preferred
  • one to three years experience supervising a team or in a supervisory role required
  • current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • familiar with restaurant database software
  • understanding of county regulations
  • ability to implement BSRG dining standards
  • ability to interpret food service periodicals
  • ability to comprehend standardized recipe format
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to calculate food costs and menu pricing
  • strong planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, communication, time management, and employee development skills
  • capability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
  • excellent interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals
  • ensure superior standards of food service and quality
  • work with management team to interview and hire F&B staff
  • supervise and train banquet staff
  • maintain effective communication regarding F&B operations, safety, and employee concerns
  • recognize and celebrate team member success
  • attend all F&B functions including corporate parties and weddings
  • support budget planning and monitor expenses
  • conduct monthly inventories
  • train in all areas of bar management and new bartender onboarding
  • act as Bar Manager during events and weddings
  • prepare seasonal drink specials
  • oversee mixology classes
  • perform other assigned duties
