Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One to three years’ related experience or training preferred
  • One to three years’ experience supervising a team required
  • Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS® Certification
  • Must meet state and federal minimum age requirements for serving alcohol
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Knowledge of restaurant database software a plus
  • Knowledgeable about county regulations
  • Ability to understand and implement BSRG dining standards
  • Ability to read and interpret food service periodicals
  • Ability to understand standardized recipe formats
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff
  • Ability to calculate food costs, menu pricing, labor standards, and present capital projects
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, and employee development skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet high work standards
  • Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals
  • Ensure superior standards of food service and quality
  • Work with management to interview and hire F&B staff
  • Supervise, train, and develop banquet staff
  • Maintain effective communication regarding F&B operations and safety
  • Recognize and celebrate team member success
  • Attend all F&B functions such as corporate parties and weddings
  • Support budget planning and monitor expenses
  • Conduct monthly inventories
  • Train new bartenders and manage bar operations during events
  • Prepare seasonal drink specials and oversee mixology classes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
