Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years relevant experience
- Prior experience in dietary or food service department preferably in a healthcare environment
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and OSHA requirements

Job Duties
- Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of Inglis residents
- Directs staff activity for residents, cafeteria, and catering areas to ensure quality, accuracy, timeliness, efficiency, and sanitation
- Always attempts to schedule within budget and to reduce overtime
- Assigns employees to perform all department functions and assures compliance
- Oversees production and shipment of food to the solariums, supplies, and Nutrition services to residents, cafeteria, catering, other departments, and foundation requests
- Works with Director, Chef or Clinical Dietitian before making substitutions on resident special diet menus
- Ensures that food/meals are served in a timely, attractive, and tasteful manner and that resident food preferences are met
- Works in Diet Office by answering the phone and printing the meal ticket in the evening for breakfast the next morning
- Checks and records refrigerator temperatures daily and reports variance
- Ensures compliance with all HACCP guidelines and conducts inspections
- Monitors cashiers and assures cafeteria cash control using register reports and Z readings
- Deposits money correctly
- Implements and monitors sanitation procedures, food handling practices and personal hygiene requirements
- Assures all cleaning and sanitation assignments are complete by the end of each shift
- Ensures proper storage and security of all food and supplies
