Job Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • A.A.S degree in Food Service Management or related field or equivalent experience
  • One-year healthcare or commercial supervisory food service experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Computer and math proficiency
  • Ability to work with diverse teams
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Standing and walking for most of the day
  • Ability to work in environments with exposure to cleaning agents, heat, steam, and mechanical equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate
  • A.A.S degree in Food Service Management or related field preferred
  • Equivalent training through work experience acceptable
  • HACCP/Serv-Safe certification preferred
  • One-year healthcare or commercial supervisory food service experience preferred
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated computer and math skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Promote a positive service culture
  • Coordinate and supervise food preparation, production, assembly, service and distribution
  • Ensure adherence to standardized recipes and safe food handling practices
  • Organize cleaning and sanitizing of work areas and equipment
  • Participate in hiring and disciplinary actions
  • Manage department cash handling functions
  • Provide input on operational goals including menu costing, planning, staff training and budgeting
