Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of culinary training
  • Three years of culinary experience including leadership responsibilities
  • ServSafe Manager Food Protection Certification
  • Culinary Certificate
  • Active California driver's license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and team development abilities
  • Knowledge of computer word processing and spreadsheets
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Formal culinary cooking education preferred
  • Proficiency in Joint Commission, Title XXII, HACCP, and FDA Food Code regulations preferred

Job Duties

  • Coordinate operational systems for Food and Nutrition Services including menu planning and food ordering
  • Oversee patient meal service, cafeteria, and catering operations
  • Manage hot and cold food production and emergency meal preparation
  • Supervise purchasing, inventory management, and control
  • Ensure adherence to marketing and meal presentation standards
  • Develop recipes and implement menus meeting sanitation, nutrition, and financial parameters
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
