Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in catering, event management, or food services
  • Ability to lead and manage others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Serv-Safe Certification within 12 months of hire required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in catering, event management, or food services
  • Preferred associate degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field
  • Experience in a leadership position preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events concurrently
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and catering best practices preferred
  • Proficiency with catering management software preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist leadership with planning, organization, and execution of catering events
  • Ensure event details meet customer expectations and comply with university standards
  • Manage staff supervision including training, scheduling, and event execution
  • Evaluate employee performance and handle disciplinary actions
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and resolving complaints
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Monitor inventory, coordinate maintenance of catering equipment, and manage event budgets
