Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 1 year of experience in food service or related supervisory role
  • must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
  • ability to work occasional night and weekend hours
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • must be legally authorized to work in the country

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes)
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production that ensures safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and department requirements
  • ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment
  • maintain all serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner
  • maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations
  • maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • counsel and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor other food service workers
  • maintain logs on maintenance required on equipment
  • ensure all food safety/temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend replacement of existing equipment
  • perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
