Job Requirements
- FAA Commercial pilot certificate with Instrument rating
- Certified Flight Instructor, Airplane Single
- Instrument Airplane certification
- valid FAA Medical Certificate Second Class
- annual company wellness physical
- eight years flying experience
- minimum 3,000 hours flight time
- pipeline patrol experience
- one year supervisory experience
- bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- good communication skills
- good organizational skills
- good problem-solving skills
- good decision-making skills
- ability to work independently
- availability for overnight travel
- willingness to work extended hours and call-outs
- must carry cell phone for on-call duties
- proven safe driving record
- valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- FAA Commercial pilot certificate with Instrument rating
- Certified Flight Instructor, Airplane Single
- Instrument Airplane certification
- valid FAA Medical Certificate Second Class
- training in aircraft operations
- training in meteorology
- training in navigation
- understanding federal aviation regulations
- minimum eight years of flying experience
- minimum 3,000 hours total flight time
- pipeline patrol knowledge and experience
- one year or more supervisory experience
- bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- good verbal and written communication skills
- good organizational and problem-solving skills
- good decision-making skills
- ability to work without direct supervision
Job Duties
- supervise company patrol pilots
- manage pilots day-to-day job performance
- provide initial training to pilots
- conduct proficiency route and flight checks
- maintain crew training records per FAA requirements
- manage patrol pilot schedules and aircraft assignments
- provide vacation and PTO relief for pilots
- manage additional flying requirements
- use aviation Safety Management System to identify and mitigate risk
- review and approve pilot expense reports and timecards
- provide annual performance reviews to pilots
- assist department manager in various tasks
