Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a culinary leadership position
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective time management skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum three years of progressive culinary experience
- At least one year in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef role
- Proven leadership ability
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of Tex-Mex cuisine preferred
- Excellent communication and team management skills
Job Duties
- Manage hourly and back-of-house staff
- Assist in daily kitchen operations including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving
- Train line cooks to prepare menu items consistently according to recipes
- Lead the kitchen effectively in absence of Executive Chef
- Maintain a positive and proactive approach to overcoming challenges
- Motivate and inspire the kitchen team while working calmly under pressure
