Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a culinary leadership position
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of progressive culinary experience
  • At least one year in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef role
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of Tex-Mex cuisine preferred
  • Excellent communication and team management skills

Job Duties

  • Manage hourly and back-of-house staff
  • Assist in daily kitchen operations including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving
  • Train line cooks to prepare menu items consistently according to recipes
  • Lead the kitchen effectively in absence of Executive Chef
  • Maintain a positive and proactive approach to overcoming challenges
  • Motivate and inspire the kitchen team while working calmly under pressure
