Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • three years culinary experience
  • one year in lead cook or sous chef role
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • proficiency in kitchen management
  • excellent teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • minimum three years progressive culinary experience
  • at least one year experience as lead cook or sous chef
  • strong leadership skills
  • ability to work calmly under pressure
  • knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • manage hourly and back-of-house staff
  • assist in day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving
  • train line cooks on menu item preparation following established recipes
  • maintain consistency of presentation and flavor
  • lead kitchen in the absence of the executive chef
  • motivate and inspire the kitchen team
  • handle obstacles and solve issues proactively
