Job Requirements

  • minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • five years progressive culinary experience
  • two years experience in a sous chef role
  • ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to handle high-pressure situations
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of five years progressive culinary experience
  • at least two years experience as a sous chef
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to work calmly under pressure
  • knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary standards
  • experience managing budgets and labor costs
  • excellent organizational and communication skills

Job Duties

  • oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing and receiving
  • ensure all menu items are created to the highest culinary standards
  • manage the kitchen in the absence of the executive chef
  • work calmly under pressure while leading a cohesive team
  • aggressively monitor labor, scheduling and overtime to maximize productivity and guest satisfaction
  • manage culinary budgets effectively
  • oversee private parties and special event catering
