Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant culinary certification preferred
  • proven culinary experience with progressive responsibilities
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • effective multitasking and time management abilities
  • commitment to upholding company culture and values

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of progressive culinary experience
  • at least two years in a Sous Chef role
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to work calmly under pressure
  • experience managing culinary budgets and labor costs
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • familiarity with Tex-Mex cuisine is a plus

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, private parties and special events
  • manage stewarding, purchasing and receiving functions
  • ensure culinary staff produce menu items to the highest standards
  • effectively run the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • manage culinary budget and monitor labor, scheduling and overtime
  • lead a cohesive team working calmly under pressure
  • drive guest satisfaction through operational excellence
