Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least five years of professional culinary experience
  • Two years experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar supervisory role
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Ability to manage budgets and scheduling
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Five years of progressive culinary experience
  • Minimum two years in a Sous Chef capacity
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Experience managing culinary budgets and labor costs
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, private parties and special events
  • Manage purchasing and receiving processes
  • Ensure culinary staff maintain high standards in menu item preparation
  • Lead and maintain kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Monitor labor, scheduling, and overtime to maximize productivity
  • Manage culinary budget effectively
  • Foster a cohesive and professional culinary team
