Job Requirements

  • Two years experience in facility maintenance janitorial
  • One year or more lead or supervisory experience in facility janitorial
  • Experience completing handyman work
  • Physically capable of operating vehicles safely with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various instructions
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of materials, supplies, and practices essential to janitorial and facility maintenance

Job Duties

  • Perform cleaning duties to maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout facilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Oversee preventive maintenance plans and facility repairs including carpentry, painting, and drywall
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and take appropriate action
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and provide regular reports
  • Coordinate with vendors and provide access to work areas
  • Support event setups and cleanup for assembly and conference rooms
  • Manage inventory and serve as day supervisor
  • Ensure safety and security of buildings and report issues
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as repairing minor equipment and fixtures
  • Handle handyman services including plumbing repairs
  • Assemble, move, install, and maintain furniture
  • Perform minor wall repairs and painting
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs
  • Maintain exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor seating
  • Clear snow and ice from walkways and entrances
  • Communicate effectively in English and Spanish with colleagues and supervisors
