Job Requirements
- Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program
- Complete and pass food safety certification program
- Physically able to stand and walk entire shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills in English
- Willingness to support team and guest needs
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand or walk 100 percent of shift
- Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
- Able to deliver plates and clear tables of plates and glasses which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
- Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
- Complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food and drink running, etc. as needed
- Be knowledgeable regarding food and beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
- Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system in a timely manner
- Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
- Assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a manager
- Collect guests’ payments including credit cards, cash, or gift cards, ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
- Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
- Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
