Job Requirements
- Physical ability to stand and walk entire shift
- Ability to reach, bend, and stoop as required
- Frequent immersion of hands in water with cleaning chemicals
- Proficient in English language skills including speaking, reading, and writing
- Capability to lift heavy loads up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Comfortable working in damp and high-temperature indoor environments
- Safety-conscious handling of hot kitchenware and sharp utensils
- Willingness to assist co-workers and support team dynamics
- Successful completion of mandated food safety certification according to state and company regulations
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand/walk 100 percent of shift
- Can reach, bend, stoop
- Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
- Maintain kitchen area cleanliness
- sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor
- Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
- Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
