Job Requirements

  • Prior customer service experience required
  • Minimum two years of experience in summer housing, hotel front desk, or janitorial/custodial role preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overnight shifts
  • Willingness to perform miscellaneous desk attendant and housekeeping duties
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Must undergo criminal history background check
  • Must complete FERPA, Title IX, Behavior Based Safety, Workplace Harassment Prevention, and annual Protecting Payment Card Information training within 30 days of hire
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without restrictions
  • May require a valid driver’s license meeting UA safe driving standards
  • Availability to work full summer employment period to qualify for housing benefit

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred two years of summer housing experience
  • Proven skills in customer service and hospitality
  • Experience with housekeeping and custodial duties
  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, and email
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage cash handling and recordkeeping tasks

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service at the guest services desk
  • Manage guest reservations using conference database software
  • Check guests in and out of residence halls and apartments
  • Prepare residence halls and apartment suites for guest arrivals including cleaning and organizing
  • Perform housekeeping duties such as removing trash, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning windows and bathrooms
  • Distribute linens, towels, amenities, and hospitality items
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and occasional team leadership
  • Respond to on-call facility issues and guest needs as part of a duty rotation
