Job Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Must undergo a criminal history background check
- Must complete FERPA, Title IX, Behavior Based Safety, Workplace Harassment Prevention certifications within 30 days of start date
- Must complete annual Protecting Payment Card Information training
- Must have prior experience in customer service or related hospitality roles
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including overnight shifts
- Must be available for mandatory training before the summer conference season starts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must demonstrate positive attitude and professionalism
- Must be available to work the entire summer employment period to qualify for discounted student housing
Job Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience demonstrating skills necessary for the job
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- Experience in office, hotel front desk, or janitorial service favored
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, and email
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Provide customer service at the guest services desk
- Manage housing reservations using conference database software
- Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning, trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and organizing
- Respond to guest needs and facility issues during on-call shifts
- Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions
- Prepare residence halls and apartments for guest arrival including room preparation
- Collaborate with team members to maintain hospitality standards
