Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in custodial services
- Knowledge of custodial equipment and cleaning methods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move up to 100 lbs
- Basic English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with peers and supervisors
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use PPE
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Customer service skills
- Ability to organize and manage supplies
- Basic equipment maintenance skills
- Availability to work from May 1, 2026 to September 26, 2026

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of custodial services experience preferably in higher education settings
- Knowledge of custodial equipment such as buffers, floor machines, power washers, blowers, and vacuums
- Familiarity with cleaning products and methods for different floor surfaces including carpet and tile
- Understanding of workplace safety, PPE, and chemical safety procedures
- Ability to follow technical and safety instructions
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with green cleaning products
- Basic equipment maintenance skills
- Ability to handle repetitive motion and physical lifting up to 100 lbs
- Completion of custodial training program preferred
- Experience with a variety of floor equipment and window washing at heights is a plus
- Knowledge of equipment repair and parts ordering preferred
Job Duties
- Clean all interior surfaces in apartment kitchens including appliances, ovens, and cabinets
- Sweep, strip, seal, and wax kitchen floors and other areas as needed
- Vacuum and remove cobwebs in closets
- Remove flyers and debris, sweep and power wash entrances, patios, and balconies
- Clean bathroom fixtures, floors, and replace shower curtains and decals
- Vacuum carpets, spot clean, remove mildew and mold, clean heater vents and filters
- Remove abandoned property and trash from apartments and exterior areas
- Wash walls, doors, windows, and move heavy cleaning equipment as necessary
- Sweep, power wash, and clean stairwells, hallways, and building entrances
- Remove trash, clean recycling and mailbox areas
- Clean laundry and mail area interiors and exteriors
- Dust furniture, vacuum and steam clean carpets in academic and common areas
- Refill dispensers and clean restrooms and kitchens in community buildings
- Collect and discard trash and recycling, maintain cleanliness of ECEP classrooms and common areas
- Report broken washers and dryers
- Perform other cleaning duties as assigned in interior and exterior common areas
