Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week including evenings and weekends
- Experience with nutrition assistance programs preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift equipment and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to use basic office and POS technology
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with community event coordination or market operations preferred
- Knowledge of nutrition assistance programs such as SNAP/EBT and Market Bucks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage financial transactions accurately
- Experience with social media marketing and content creation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with POS systems
- Commitment to community health and wellness
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Job Duties
- Manage on-site Crystal Farmers Market operations
- Coordinate the logistics of set up/take down of Crystal Farmers Market and special events
- Operate informational booth for SNAP/EBT transactions, customer questions, nutrition incentive materials, POS system
- Maintain accurate financial procedures including transactions, cash flow, fee collection, sales, EBT terminal
- Document and report weekly financial and market data for various reports
- Generate weekly social media and newsletter content to promote the Crystal Farmers Market and community events
- Uphold market standards for vendors and customers including food safety, rules and regulations
- Communicate respectfully and transparently with market customers and vendors, and resolve disputes
- Assist in connecting underserved populations including communities of color, seniors and families with young children to the Farmers Market and Special Events through culturally relevant marketing
- Attend community events/meetings to promote and develop support for Crystal Farmers Market and municipal recreation programs and events
- Evaluate and assess effectiveness of programs and prepare related reports
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment
- distribute supplies and equipment
- assist with ordering supplies and equipment for Crystal Farmers Market and special events
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and conduct business in a safe manner
- Attend staff meetings and coordinate work schedules with other staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
