Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • Completed minimum two semesters or 24 credit hours by May 2026 or graduated December 2025 or May 2026
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities for public engagement
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365
  • Familiar with Canva
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Willing to travel within Virginia for events
  • Available for 40 hours per week on-site including events
  • Pass background and driver history checks

Job Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for public engagement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with Canva for graphic design
  • Analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Interest in event coordination, social media, or public safety campaigns
  • Basic photo and video skills preferred but not required
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Support speed ladder demonstrations for summer launches
  • Work NASCAR events alongside professional drivers
  • Staff community safety tables and awareness campaigns
  • Run event logistics, setup, and on-site coordination
  • Engage directly with the public at safety activations
  • Capture photos, videos, and content for event recaps
  • Track event metrics and assist with reporting
  • Draft social media posts aligned with safety campaigns
  • Create graphics with evergreen safety messaging
  • Maintain editorial calendar coordinating campaign timelines
  • Gather content from events and partner activations
  • Ensure safety messaging is consistent across channels
  • Track materials, deadlines, and approvals for outreach
  • Organize event supplies and maintain promotional inventory
  • Coordinate meeting notes and campaign planning follow-ups
  • Support program managers during peak outreach season
