Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma/GED
- valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- First Aid/CPR Certification or ability to obtain one within six months
- ability to be physically active and stand for long periods
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- ability to communicate effectively
- pass background check and drug testing
- possession of a valid driver's license
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma/GED
- First Aid/CPR Certification or ability to obtain one
- experience working in a camp setting or with children in group settings preferred
- experience leading, teaching, or mentoring children, teens, or adults preferred
- strong leadership skills and ability to inspire teams preferred
- general knowledge of behavior management strategies
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- ability to plan relevant programming
- ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Job Duties
- Ensure strong communication with parents on schedule changes, concerns, and disciplinary issues
- prepare, organize, and supervise facilitation of program activities and develop and implement programs for diverse groups
- assist with program development and adherence to standards, coordinating space and resources for developmentally appropriate activities
- monitor and supervise various activities simultaneously, providing behavior management and adjusting as needed
- complete write-ups and escalate problems to Camp Lead and supervisor
- assist with leading, training, assigning, supervising, and evaluating part-time staff and volunteers
- conduct administrative tasks including creating reports, staff schedules, maintaining supply inventory, entering attendance, and documenting incident and accident reports
- ensure participants have exemplary customer service experience and assist with personal care needs
- enforce camp guidelines and policies
- mediate camper disciplinary issues and complete necessary paperwork
- drive a town 15-passenger vehicle or smaller
- serve in the absence of the Camp Lead
- lead in the development and implementation of inclusive One Cary staff culture
- oversee day-to-day camp operations
- coach staff and complete evaluations
- supervise Assistant Camp Leads
- perform other job-related tasks as assigned
