Job Requirements
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Experience in multiple camp roles
- Experience in program development and delivery
- Ability to live at camp for the summer season
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Access to reliable transportation
- Clearance of background check and drug screen
- Commitment to teamwork and organizational values
- Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and on uneven terrain
Job Qualifications
- Experience in multiple camp roles
- Experience in development and delivery of programs for similar populations
- Experience supervising others especially peers is desirable
- Knowledge of Girl Scout Leadership Experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms
- Strong problem solving and human relations skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to adapt and work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles
Job Duties
- Design, deliver, and evaluate camp programs to meet camper needs
- Assist with camper administrative duties including check-in and check-out
- Communicate with parents regarding camper behavior and physical issues
- Work with Outdoor Program Manager on conflict resolution and staff problem solving
- Oversee management and care of physical facilities and equipment
- Supervise Camp Counselors and provide feedback
- Serve as a role model adhering to safety, security, and camp procedures
- Prepare ACA documentation for each camp session
- Attend orientation week and staff meetings
- Participate in camp activities and uphold camp rules
- Maintain professionalism and positive attitude with campers, parents, volunteers, and staff
