Job Requirements

  • In the process of obtaining a BA/BS in Education, Human Services, Social Work, or a closely related field
  • Previous classroom instruction experience preferred
  • Proficient in technology use
  • Effective time management skills
  • Self-directed work capability
  • Valid state driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain insurance coverage
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access
  • Ability to pass Washington State DSHS background check
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Commitment to customer service and mission-driven work

Job Qualifications

  • Preferably in the process of obtaining a BA/BS in Education, Human Services, Social Work, or a closely related field
  • Previous classroom instruction experience is preferred
  • Ability to proficiently use technology, exercise time management, and be self-directed
  • A valid state driver’s license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access
  • Must be able to pass Washington State DSHS background check
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams
  • Commitment to mission-driven work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Work with individuals with disabilities ages 14-22 to discover their interests for employment and prepare them for employment
  • Job shadow Pre-ETS instructors, Pre-ETS supervisor, CES manager, career advisor, training manager, employee support program manager, and accessibility specialist as they work with clients and employees
  • Assists with curriculum development and design of training materials
  • Assists in preparing content for classes and other events
  • Network with local businesses to create and develop work-based learning activities and work-based learning experiences
  • Conduct workplace readiness and self-advocacy trainings
  • Assist with job tours and informational interviews
  • Assist clients with job search activities such as resume building, interviewing skills, completing and submitting job applications
  • Provide on-the-job supports, training and coaching to students at their paid internship sites
  • Attend CES, Pre-ETS, Workforce Development team meetings
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude
  • Attend intern team meetings and trainings
  • Work on a collaborative intern cohort team project
  • All other duties as assigned
