Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • six months or more experience bartending in a similar environment
  • accurate and responsible cash handling skills
  • detail oriented, organized, and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • professional interpersonal communication skills with co-workers, guests and managers
  • ability to calculate basic math functions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages
  • requires strict confidentiality with regard to private company information including event guests, event contracts and suite owners
  • ability to acquire TEAM/TIPs certification for service of alcohol
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures and comply with state/federal alcohol laws
  • learn and have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties, and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
  • pour drinks responsibly according to company serving size standards
  • check guest IDs to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase
  • communicate cut-off to guests as needed
  • listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if required
  • request additional or restock product as needed
  • handle cash accurately and be responsible for issued bank at the bar
  • maintain a clean and sanitary workspace and ensure bar equipment is well maintained
  • perform set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and assist with cooler organization
  • maintain TEAM/TIP’s certification for alcohol service
