Job Requirements

  • Age 18 or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One or more years experience as a server or in the food service industry
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Professional interpersonal communication skills with co-workers, guests, and managers
  • Requires strict confidentiality regarding private company information including event guests, event contracts, and suite owners
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on the Iowa Cubs Baseball schedule from March to September

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent guest service
  • Assist the Suites Coordinator and Manager as required in preparation for the event, including stocking suite products and maintaining cleanliness
  • Maintain current tickets for designated suites and present accurate final checks to guests
  • Serve meals to guests or replenish buffet food, checking for accuracy and quality
  • Read and comprehend Banquet Event Orders for proper event setup and service execution
  • Serve beverages responsibly, including checking guest identification and reporting cut-off needs
  • Maintain positive and productive interactions with co-workers while adhering to uniform and grooming standards
  • Refill salt, pepper, and condiments and bus suites throughout events
  • Clean and polish buffet equipment and lock up refrigerators and liquor cabinets
  • Replace tableware and linens during events and maintain a clean workspace in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Occasionally assist with bartending as directed
