Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • minimum one-year formal experience as banquet server in a banquet facility, arena, conference center, hotel, or restaurant
  • ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Permit upon hire
  • attend all ASM GLOBAL Alcohol and Policy Training classes
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand for long hours and move around the facility
  • must follow all ASM GLOBAL-SAVOR policies
  • able to communicate effectively with staff and guests
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization

Job Qualifications

  • Must have good customer service skills and ability to develop and enhance guest loyalty
  • follow all ASM GLOBAL-SAVOR policies and procedures
  • be present for all major events at the Arena
  • minimum one-year formal experience as banquet server in a conference center, banquet facility, arena, full-service hotel, or restaurant operation
  • ability to verify and set-up pre-game/event orders
  • skilled at identifying suite host and introducing oneself properly
  • capable of taking and placing game day food and beverage orders and serving guests throughout the event
  • ability to replenish food, beverages, condiments, and utensils as needed
  • maintain orderliness and cleanliness throughout the event
  • obtain timely signatures from host on charges
  • clear suites and clean surfaces after events
  • reset suites for next function
  • complete closing functions and check out with supervisor or manager
  • excellent guest service skills adhering to Universal Service Standards
  • ability to complete pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
  • knowledge of food service equipment, basic food preparatory techniques, sanitation, and safety
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • highly motivated and able to take initiative in fast-paced environments

Job Duties

  • Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
  • perform all guest contact activities such as serving food and beverage and answering guest questions in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner
  • ensure that the food and beverage is served with consistent presentation and proper temperature
  • assist in inventories of food, beverage, equipment, china, glass, and silverware
  • maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude with supervisors and fellow employees including other departments
  • enforce all sanitation procedures including safety guidelines and OSHA requirements
  • organize event equipment and clean, maintain, and care for equipment during and after functions
  • keep storerooms clean, organized, and secured
  • communicate special requests or guest concerns immediately to Suite Supervisor
  • follow opening and closing procedures to ensure security and energy efficiency
  • follow all food and beverage operational rules and ASM GLOBAL policies
  • ensure proper handling and cleaning of all equipment, china, glass, and silver
  • perform reasonable management-assigned requests for staffing and performance needs
