Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year food service department lead capacity in retail or restaurant environment
  • ability to stand or walk 10 hours a day
  • ability to lift 40 lbs
  • ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, grasp and grip
  • willingness to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to work in cold temperature environments such as freezer and cooler areas
  • 5% travel to attend meetings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year food service department lead capacity in retail or restaurant environment
  • preferred 1-3 years food service experience
  • Serv Safe certified a plus
  • comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members
  • high energy
  • ability to move from one activity to another quickly
  • team oriented and willing to give extra effort to help others

Job Duties

  • Lead by example to show all store team members and guests what a great restaurant food service program looks like
  • work with the MU/MB General manager to build and develop a strong food service program by leading the food operation effectively
  • set clear and measurable goals, assume ownership for program efficiency and success
  • work with the MU/MB General manager to hold others accountable and to position all team members for success through training, coaching, delegating and frequent communication
  • partner with the MU/MB General manager to address team member performance or behavior issues quickly and fairly to keep the team strong
  • achieve operational excellence, utilizing the company’s operational goals to achieve financial objectives including sales, expenses to budget, and net profit
  • manage overall appearance and cleanliness and execution of the brand standards for the program
  • oversee quality control, merchandising, safety programs and other guidelines for successful food service operations
  • manage product levels to achieve 100% in-stock at all times
  • responsible for all inventory controls including ordering, receiving, inventorying, and waste control
  • maintain all EG, brand and local board of health cleaning and sanitation standards
  • work with the Brand manager to address product quality, food safety, equipment issues, training, and signage needs
  • perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Store manager
