Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum one year of food service department lead experience in retail or restaurant environment
  • comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members
  • high energy and ability to adapt quickly
  • team oriented with willingness to give extra effort
  • flexible schedule availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours a day
  • ability to lift 40 pounds
  • ability to perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, grasping, and working in cold environments
  • availability for up to 5 percent travel to attend meetings
  • willingness to wear specialized work attire such as hats, visors, and gloves, provided by the company

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum one year experience in food service department lead capacity in retail or restaurant environment
  • preferred one to three years of food service experience
  • effective communication and leadership skills
  • ability to manage operational goals and financial objectives
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • customer service oriented
  • motivated and team-oriented
  • ServSafe certification is a plus but not mandatory

Job Duties

  • Lead by example to show all store team members and guests what a great restaurant food service program looks like
  • work with the multi unit or multi brand general manager to build and develop a strong food service program by leading the food operation effectively
  • set clear and measurable goals and assume ownership for program efficiency and success
  • hold others accountable and position all team members for success through training, coaching, delegating and frequent communication
  • partner with the general manager to address team member performance or behavior issues quickly and fairly
  • achieve operational excellence utilizing company operational goals to meet financial objectives such as sales and net profit
  • manage overall appearance, cleanliness, and execution of brand standards
  • delegate and direct fellow team members to maintain condition levels up to company standards
  • oversee quality control, merchandising, safety programs, and manage product levels to achieve 100 percent in-stock
  • responsible for inventory controls including ordering, receiving, inventorying, and waste control
  • maintain all EG, brand, and local board of health cleaning and sanitation standards
  • work with brand manager to communicate and fix issues regarding product quality, food safety, equipment, training, and signage needs
  • perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the store manager
