Job Requirements
- Possession of a current food handler's permit or ability to obtain prior to hire
- Ability to secure and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license or acceptable alternative transportation
- Successful completion of a background check
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform various physical tasks
- Availability for on-call work and occasional travel within service counties
- Ability to interact respectfully with diverse populations
- Willingness to follow agency policies and maintain confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- One year of experience coordinating community programs or working with volunteers
- Six months of food handling experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with seniors and volunteers
- Competency in maintaining accurate records and reports
- Bilingual skills for designated positions
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Ensure successful operation of meal sites and home-delivered meal programs
- Prepare and serve meals in compliance with health and sanitation standards
- Coordinate and supervise volunteers at meal sites and during meal delivery
- Collect and safeguard program income and perform necessary documentation
- Provide social support and organize activities to meet participant needs
- Conduct safety checks and maintain a clean, friendly environment
- Participate in community outreach and promote agency nutrition services
