The Nutrition Services Program is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of seniors by providing vital meal services through congregate dining sites and home-delivered meal programs. Serving multiple counties including Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Clatsop, and Tillamook in Oregon, the program emphasizes community involvement and compassionate care for seniors. Job Requirements
- Possession of a current food handler's permit or ability to obtain prior to hire
- Ability to secure and maintain a valid driver's license in the state of Oregon or acceptable alternative transportation
- Successful completion of a background check
- Ability to occasionally travel and deliver meals
- Ability to regularly walk, stand, talk, and listen with frequent interruptions
- Ability to regularly grasp, reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to occasionally sit, push or pull
- Ability to work in varied settings including homes, facilities, and community events
- Ability to drive an agency or employee vehicle and use a laptop computer
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience coordinating a community program and working with volunteers
- Food handling experience
- Bilingual skills (for bilingual positions only)
- Successful completion of a bilingual skills and language proficiency test (for bilingual positions only)
Job Duties
- Ensure successful operation of a congregate nutrition meal site and delivery of meals to homebound participants
- Provide for social needs of program participants
- Develop and maintain a group of volunteers to provide nutrition services
- Promote Agency and nutrition services
- Promote person centered services
- Protect consumers and reduce Agency risk
- Supervise meal site and home delivery volunteers
