Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience as a Commis Tournant in a high-volume kitchen or equivalent combination of skills and education
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience preparing breakfast and brunch
  • Ability to execute recipes involving all phases
  • Ability to prepare dishes consistently according to chef's instructions
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment over 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience as a Commis Tournant in a high-volume kitchen or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fluent in English with efficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience preparing breakfast and brunch
  • Two-year degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent training
  • Certification from the New York State Department of Health

Job Duties

  • Prepare dishes consistently and according to chef's specifications
  • Work on single stations in the kitchen
  • Execute recipes involving all phases
  • Maintain excellent knife skills
  • Work in high-pressure kitchen environments
  • Prepare breakfast and brunch meals
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards
