Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience as a Commis Tournant in a high-volume kitchen or combination of skills and education relevant to the role
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to prepare breakfast and brunch dishes
  • Knowledge of sauces and cooking techniques
  • Excellent knife skills including chopping, slicing, dicing
  • Ability to execute recipes consistently according to chef's specifications
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods and withstand high temperatures
  • Ability to bend, lift, push, pull, carry equipment over 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience as a Commis Tournant in a high-volume kitchen or equivalent skills
  • Fluent in English with efficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience preparing breakfast and brunch
  • Two year degree course in Culinary Arts or equivalent training
  • Certification from the New York State Department of Health

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items according to recipes and chef instructions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist in receiving and storing food supplies
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen team
  • Ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes
  • Participate in training and supervision sessions
