Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience as a Commis Tournant or equivalent
- Fluent in English
- Experience preparing breakfast and brunch
- Excellent knife skills
- Knowledge of sauces and cooking techniques
- Ability to execute recipes involving all phases
- Ability to prepare dishes consistently according to chef’s specifications
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in high temperatures
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment over 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience as a Commis Tournant in a high-volume kitchen or equivalent combination of skills and education
- Fluent in English with efficient verbal and written communication skills
- Experience preparing breakfast and brunch
- Two year degree course in Culinary Arts or equivalent training (desirable)
- Certification from the New York State Department of Health (desirable)
Job Duties
- Prepare meals according to recipes and chef instructions
- Manage single kitchen stations efficiently
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and supervisors
- Follow cooking techniques and procedures accurately
- Assist in the preparation of breakfast and brunch items
- Adhere to Hyatt’s service orientation and quality standards
