Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certification through local City Health Department preferred
- Certified through Texas Association for School Nutrition preferred
- Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation
- Demonstrate good personal work habits
- Knowledge and certification in HACCP sanitation and safety practices
- Able to read and understand production records and recipes
- Able to convert recipes using basic math skills
- Completion of sanitation and safety courses preferred
- Experience in institutional food service operations preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Support the department with regular attendance and punctuality
- Show high initiative and self-motivation
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace
- Read and understand production records and recipes and follow them
- Prepare all meal components in correct quantity according to menu specifications
- Maintain a clean kitchen utilizing proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
- Communicate all product usage and report equipment issues to the kitchen manager
