Job Requirements

- Ability to work effectively with students and staff
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable punctual and able to follow directions
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check and meet all state and district requirements for school personnel

- Prior experience in food service restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Previous food service or cashier experience is helpful but not required

Job Duties
- Overall cleaning of kitchen including but not limited to mopping sweeping and dishes
- Meal preparation assisting with the preparation cooking and assembly of student meals breakfast and lunch
- Serving meals to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner
- Operating point-of-sale POS systems and accurately handling meal accounts
- Cleaning and sanitation washing dishes utensils pots and pans cleaning kitchen equipment counters and serving areas and ensuring all work areas comply with health and sanitation standards
- Stocking receiving dating and storing food and supplies properly
- Rotate milk in milk coolers
- Count milk before service and after service daily
- Serve menu items during service
- Ensure serving lines are kept clean and presentable between lunch periods
- Breakdown and clean serving lines at the end of each day
- Perform other duties as directed by the Food Service Director and or Administration
