Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively with students and staff
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependable punctual and able to follow directions
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check and meet all state and district requirements for school personnel

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food service restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work effectively with students and staff
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependable punctual and able to follow directions
  • Previous food service or cashier experience is helpful but not required
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check and meet all state and district requirements for school personnel

Job Duties

  • Overall cleaning of kitchen including but not limited to mopping sweeping and dishes
  • Meal preparation assisting with the preparation cooking and assembly of student meals breakfast and lunch
  • Serving meals to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Operating point-of-sale POS systems and accurately handling meal accounts
  • Cleaning and sanitation washing dishes utensils pots and pans cleaning kitchen equipment counters and serving areas and ensuring all work areas comply with health and sanitation standards
  • Stocking receiving dating and storing food and supplies properly
  • Rotate milk in milk coolers
  • Count milk before service and after service daily
  • Serve menu items during service
  • Ensure serving lines are kept clean and presentable between lunch periods
  • Breakdown and clean serving lines at the end of each day
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Food Service Director and or Administration
