Job Requirements

  • must successfully complete background check
  • meet all state and district requirements for school personnel

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in food service restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not required
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • ability to work effectively with students and staff
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • dependable punctual and able to follow directions
  • previous food service or cashier experience is helpful but not required
  • ability to lift 35 pounds
  • valid driver's license
  • must be able to successfully complete a background check and meet all state and district requirements for school personnel

Job Duties

  • overall cleaning of kitchen including but not limited to mopping sweeping and dishes
  • meal preparation assisting with the preparation cooking and assembly of student meals breakfast and lunch
  • serving meals to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner
  • operating point-of-sale pos systems and accurately handling meal accounts
  • cleaning and sanitation washing dishes utensils pots and pans cleaning kitchen equipment counters and serving areas and ensuring all work areas comply with health and sanitation standards
  • stocking receiving dating and storing food and supplies properly
  • rotate milk in milk coolers
  • count milk before service and after service daily
  • serve menu items during service
  • ensure serving lines are kept clean and presentable between lunch periods
  • breakdown and clean serving lines at the end of each day
  • perform other duties as directed by the Food Service Director and or Administration
