Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- TB test clearance and Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
- food handlers certification or ability to obtain
- previous food service experience desired
- CPR, AED, and first aid certification

- ability to perform physically demanding custodial tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Performs a wide variety of custodial and maintenance tasks around campus including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, scrubbing and polishing
- thoroughly cleans and sanitizes restrooms, classrooms, offices, and other assigned rooms
- cleans walls, fixtures, appliances, water fountains, windows, and other surfaces as needed
- services soap dispensers, towel dispensers, and similar facilities
- moves and adjusts chairs, desks, tables, other furniture, and equipment as needed
- receives, checks, and stores custodial supplies while maintaining inventory
- gathers and disposes of trash, leaves, and debris and empties and washes waste receptacles
- assists in maintaining a safe and secure campus by reporting safety concerns and unauthorized visitors
- maintains security by locking classrooms, offices, windows, and gates
- identifies and reports vandalism and theft
- reports needed repairs to building hardware, plumbing, equipment, and furniture
- attends trainings and meetings to stay current on policies and procedures
- follows safety protocols and uses protective equipment
- follows safe operating procedures for equipment and supplies
- communicates respectfully with parents and students consistent with school mission
- maintains reliable attendance and punctuality
- maintains standards of efficiency, personal hygiene, and sanitation in food handling
- ensures adherence to state lunch guidelines including wearing hats and gloves and meal component requirements
- sets up food serving stations prior to meal service
- brings food from kitchen or storage to serving stations
- plates and serves meals
- monitors food and equipment temperatures
- enters student names for all meals served in PowerSchool
- replenishes food and maintains clean serving areas
- oversees and trains parent volunteers
- monitors students with allergies and special dietary needs and modifies serving procedures accordingly
- monitors meal area to avoid health risks such as allergic reactions and choking
- cleans meal area after service
- updates office manager and food vendor on supply or ordering needs
