Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • acceptable driving record
  • ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
  • ability to successfully complete testing for Oregon Commercial Learner Permit and Commercial Driver License
  • willingness to work varying hours including early mornings and afternoons
  • possession of or ability to obtain a court-certified driving record if license is out-of-state
  • ability to participate in required interviews
  • legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Oregon commercial driver license or ability to obtain one
  • ability to pass DOT physical exam
  • successful completion of drug and alcohol testing
  • strong knowledge of safe driving practices
  • good communication skills
  • ability to manage student behavior effectively
  • no prior experience required as paid training is provided

Job Duties

  • Transport students safely to and from school and school-related activities
  • cover routes or activity trips on an unscheduled, as-needed basis
  • adhere to established routes and schedules
  • maintain student safety and discipline during transit
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • comply with all Department of Transportation regulations and district policies
  • complete required documentation and reports accurately
