Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- acceptable driving record
- ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
- ability to successfully complete testing for Oregon Commercial Learner Permit and Commercial Driver License
- willingness to work varying hours including early mornings and afternoons
- possession of or ability to obtain a court-certified driving record if license is out-of-state
- ability to participate in required interviews
- legal eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Valid Oregon commercial driver license or ability to obtain one
- ability to pass DOT physical exam
- successful completion of drug and alcohol testing
- strong knowledge of safe driving practices
- good communication skills
- ability to manage student behavior effectively
- no prior experience required as paid training is provided
Job Duties
- Transport students safely to and from school and school-related activities
- cover routes or activity trips on an unscheduled, as-needed basis
- adhere to established routes and schedules
- maintain student safety and discipline during transit
- perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- comply with all Department of Transportation regulations and district policies
- complete required documentation and reports accurately
