Job Requirements
- Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
- must be able to read and write
- must be able to follow instructions and take initiative
- willingness to learn or knowledge of USDA meal pattern requirements
- must be willing to attend in-service trainings and obtain ServeSafe certification
- must be willing to cashier
- must display personal cleanliness and uphold sanitation standards
- ability to work in fast-paced environment
- able to tolerate temperature extremes
- able to lift up to 40 pounds
- able to stand on cement floors for up to six hours
- satisfactory criminal background check less than 1 year old
- Delaware child protection registry report
- TB test results less than 1 year old
- signed social security card
- I-9 form with appropriate identification
- mandatory direct deposit of paycheck
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to read and write
- knowledge of USDA Child Nutrition Program meal pattern requirements
- ServeSafe certification or willingness to obtain
- good personal hygiene and sanitation practices
- ability to work cooperatively with others
- ability to learn new skills related to job duties
Job Duties
- Participate in meal service preparation and delivery
- set up serving lines
- operate cashier station as needed
- wash dishes and clean kitchen facilities
- maintain sanitation and food safety standards
- assist coworkers and take initiative to expedite kitchen work
- promote the school nutrition program actively
