Job Requirements
- Current RN license in Texas
- minimum 3 years of ICU experience (adult critical care)
- strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- ability to walk and stand for long periods
- ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and tolerate confined spaces
- willingness to work part-time with 24-hour shift rotation
- basic life support certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- current registered nurse (RN) license in Texas
- minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- basic life support (BLS) certification
- strong clinical judgment
- ability to work independently under pressure
- knowledge of nursing and patient care standards
- excellent communication skills
- critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during rotor-wing flight transport
- collaborate with pilots and medical team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
- maintain readiness for emergency situations and adhere to flight safety protocols
- assist in the development and validation of patient care standards for the transport population
- participate in trauma team activations and rapid response teams
- facilitate learning for patients, families, and healthcare teams
- attend educational offerings and departmental meetings to maintain current knowledge
