Job Requirements

  • Current RN license in Texas
  • minimum 3 years of ICU experience (adult critical care)
  • strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
  • ability to walk and stand for long periods
  • ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and tolerate confined spaces
  • willingness to work part-time with 24-hour shift rotation
  • basic life support certification or ability to obtain within 30 days

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing
  • current registered nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • basic life support (BLS) certification
  • strong clinical judgment
  • ability to work independently under pressure
  • knowledge of nursing and patient care standards
  • excellent communication skills
  • critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care during rotor-wing flight transport
  • collaborate with pilots and medical team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
  • maintain readiness for emergency situations and adhere to flight safety protocols
  • assist in the development and validation of patient care standards for the transport population
  • participate in trauma team activations and rapid response teams
  • facilitate learning for patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • attend educational offerings and departmental meetings to maintain current knowledge
